Key Forms in PDF and Word
![]()
The following forms are available for member use.
PDF forms are in Portable Document format, which permits you to print out the form on any standard printer with all information and spacing preserved. However, to use these files, you must have Acrobat Reader installed on your PC. You may obtain a free copy of the “reader” program via download from http://www.adobe.com/.
Word files are for your Microsoft Office Word Program. Using word can help you for the numbering on some of the contact sheets if you have the desire to renumber them to fit your needs. You can also use the insert method from office and type in your logs.
Open Document forms are an international standardize form for word processors. Most word processor programs will support this format. You can use a free suite of office programs called Libre Office to support these formats.
Rich Text Formats can be read with lower end text processor programs such as Wordpad.

The following forms are currently available (and more may be added later) at the links from within the table.
A “dupe” sheet is a method of keeping track of duplicate contacts in contests and in other contexts. See the 10-10 brochure on contests for details of how to use a dupe sheet correctly. The Qso Party Dupe Sheet can be used for the Open Season Event.
Other special purpose forms will be added as they become available.

Tips On Application Submission for The 10-10 DX Countries Award Progarm.
In the summer of 2011, the 10-10 Board of Directors approved a change of rules for all 10-10 awards to not require QSL cards. We follow all of the ARRL DXCC rules but with the exception of not requiring QSL cards, all QSOs must be on Ten meters and requiring the swapping of our names and membership numbers over the air. A QSL card exception could be required IF information is needed from a QSL card or digital image of the card, whenever a question would arise as to which country was the actual contact made from or some other minor problem that would require an actual look at the QSL. The awards manager may have a problem identifying the country of the contact since country prefixes have changed since the Countries Award starting date for contacts was in 1975. DXpeditions usually have many operators and only one may be a 10-10 member who you would need to contact to get credit. Most all DXpedition callsigns do not have a 10-10 number and do not count for credit. Find the member.
You must use the proper forms as posted on the 10-10 website or from an approved computer program that produces a printed output for submitting for the award and all information.
Remember that the 10-10 contact is on the honor system. You know if you exchanged numbers with the station or not. Before the 2011 rule change, if you got a QSL card that does not have the 10-10 of the operator printed on it, there is nothing wrong with you writing the 10-10 number on your QSL card for the contact. It‘s your card and if you swapped numbers, record the event for future award credit. Also record it in a paper log or a computer logging program.
Please understand that Ten-Ten International and the ARRL have adopted a policy of “ZERO TOLERANCE” where it concerns cheating on Awards. Never try to alter or change a QSL card because a DX station or manager made a mistake on it.
There is NO fee for the Basic 25 Countries Award or future Country Bar endorsements. For a Bar endorsements by regular mail, all you need to do is send an SASE with enough postage for return of the Bar sticker and paperwork. The Basic 25 Countries certificate needs a big tube for return mailing and 10-10 is paying the postage. If your application is by email, then your paperwork is returned by email without a Bar sticker. Just go to the 10-10 website for more forms. The endorsements after the Basic 25 Award are in increments of 10 countries until you reach the 75 endorsement, then they are in groups of 5. For example: 35, 45, 55, 65, 75, then 80, 85, 90, 95, 100 etc. You can send as many countries as you like at one time to get you to the next higher Bar award. You can also send in extras contacts towards the next Bar endorsement. For example; you might decide to send 41 cards to start, 25 of them will be credited toward the Basic 25 Countries Award plus the 35 Bar, and the other 6 will be in your file toward the 45 endorsement. Then, you need only send 4 contacts to get credit for the 45 Bar endorsement.
One last item: per rule #5, computer printouts like EXCEL are okay. Use the format which is used on the submission sheet: CALL, COUNTRY, MMDDYY, & 10-10#. Make sure that you attach a copy of the Application cover sheet to your computer generated printout. If you have any questions about the 10-10 DX award program, please drop me a note by email.
NOTE: Your 10-10 Dues Do Have To Be Paid For Any 10-10 Award! No Dues = No award.

10-10 International - QSL
1
-1
QSL Bureau
10-10 International offers a QSL service to all 10-10 members whether membership is current or not. The QSL Bureau service is for pasteboard QSL's only and is not a forwarding service and does not handle electronic QSL cards. Also, the receiving station must also be a 10-10 member. 10-10 DX members may also participate in this program.
To use the 10-10 QSL Bureau, you must have SASE's (self-addressed-stamped-envelopes) on file with the QSL Manager. The envelopes MUST be #10 size (9 1/2 x 4 1/6) with your CALL legibly printed on the upper left hand corner with one first class stamp attached. All other sizes present a filing problem and will not be used. If you do not wish to receive cards through the QSL Bureau, please let the QSL Manager know. Your call will be placed on the Non-Participating list. Cards will be held for 2 years, and if no one claims them they will be destroyed. No notice is sent for unclaimed cards.
When submitting cards to the 10-10 QSL Bureau, you must have them sorted in numerical order if there are more than 20 cards, i.e., W1ZZZ, K3RRR, WA6YYY, AB7TT, ZP9GG, ETC. There is no need to sort by prefix, however a sort by suffix is helpful. Remember, sort by the number in the call. QSL cards for portable or mobile operations should be sent to the home call, i.e. W6OI/1, W6OI/2 should go to W6OI. The QSL Manager will mail cards every 90 days. If there is only 1 card in an envelope, it is held for 120 days.
If you have questions, please refer them directly to the QSL Manager. The program may be modified from time to time in the interest of economy and efficiency and a progress report will be made in the 10-10 News.
When you receive cards from the 10-10 Bureau, it is your responsibility to verify the claimed QSOs in your log. It is not the intent nor responsibility of 10-10 to validate the claimed QSOs. If a claimed QSO is not found in your log, you may return the card to the sender through the 10-10 QSL Bureau, but please attach a note stating the contact is not in your log. In light of recent events, it is recommended you closely check all QSL cards you receive through any QSL Bureau.

Official 10-10 Awards and Their Requirements
NOTE: The following is a listing of general rules and requirements for ALL 10-10 award programs. Rules and requirements specific to an individual award are included with the description of each individual award.
Program Description
10-10 sponsors a program of operating awards. Each award is administered by a volunteer manager who provides applicants with the award rules, application forms, certification of applicant’s submission, and issuance appropriate award or upgrade. As of 2000, 10-10 authorizes the following operating awards:
- 1. Bar Award(working groups of one hundred [100] 10-10 members)
- 2. Worked All Continents Award (Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America)
- 3. Counties Award (United States)
- 4. Countries Award (DX)
- 5. CW Awards
- 6. Digital Awards
- 7. The Great Britian 10 – 10 Counties and Regions Certificate
- 8. Lucky 13 Certificate
- 9. Mobile Award (Contact and WAS)
- 10. OM/XYL Award
- 11. WPX (Prefix) Award
- 12. VP Awards (working groups of one hundred [100] 10-10 members with VP numbers) (WAS)
- 13. Worked All States Award
Specific requirements for each award regarding qualifications, procedures, and the name of current award managers are provided in the individual award descriptions.
Uniform Qualifications
Applications for all awards are subject to the following uniform general qualifications and procedures.
Membership:
To apply for any 10-10 award, proof of full (paid-up) membership is mandatory. A copy of a current membership card or the address label from the latest copy of 10-10 News will satisfy this requirement. Proof of membership must be sent with each application for any award.
Rules and Application Forms:
An application form, listing the rules for each award, is available from the specific awards manager. Requests for application should be sent to the specific award manager and must be accompanied by a #10 (business size) stamped, self-addressed envelope (SASE). In the case of DX requests, send enough funds to cover return postage. Requests for applications can also be emailed in lieu of snail mail to the respective awards manager. Members are requested not to telephone awards managers to request forms or rules. Awards/certificates that require only listing of information without specific application forms include the Bar awards and the VP certificate. All other 10-10 awards/certificates require an application form.
Special Note: Certain key forms are available in both HTML and in PDF formats from the link indicated. The advantage of the PDF format is that it prints correctly without trial and error. However, it does require that you have a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 installed: the program is available free from http://www.adobe.com/acrobat. Many of the forms were constructed by Bob Munro, W1AMF.
Award On-The-Air Contacts:
A legal 10-10 contact must be a two-way contact exclusively on ten meters. A legal contact consists of the call, 10-10 number, name, date, and QTH (state or country). At no time is it acceptable for a 10-10 number to be relayed via a third station. These requirements for a legal 10-10 contact have been affirmed by the Board of Directors.
Defective Applications:
Should the applicant fail to send proof of current (full) membership, the Award Manager will hold the application and send the applicant a standard form letter indicating what is needed to permit award or upgrade processing. If the application is defective with respect to the specific award requirements, the Award Manager will return the application with a brief explanation.
Handwritten or Computer Applications:
For all 10-10 awards, legible handwritten, typed, or computer printed applications are acceptable.
Award Costs:
All awards are free to paid members. This includes all basic and any upgrades (as appropriate).
QSL Confirmation:
QSL confirmation is NOT required for any awards.
New Awards:
In accord with a policy decision of the Board of Directors, the effective date of all new 10-10 awards will be 120 days after the publication date announcing the availability of the award. All applications received by the award manager prior to the effective date of the award will be held and award numbers will be drawn by lot.

10-10 Daily Nets
10-10 holds daily (except Sunday) SSB nets at 1800Z on 28.380 MHz.
The purpose of the Nets is to promote activity and good operating practices on the 10-meter amateur band, and to assist radio amateurs in improving their technical skills and operating procedures. The Nets also provide a means for members to make contacts, and to recruit new members. The Nets are open to all radio amateurs worldwide.
Net operations are organized and overseen by the Net Manager who is responsible to the Operations Committee. In addition to serving as a Net Control Station (NCS), in the rotation of the Nets, the Net Manager attempts to check in to as many Nets as possible to render assistance to the NCS on duty and to fill in for NCS who may be unable to perform his/her duties due to unforeseen circumstances.
Check-in Procedures and Rules
10-10 Nets operate in accordance with appropriate net procedures for the orderly check-in of stations and the exchange of routine 10-10 information. Each session of the Net will have an NCS who is responsible for maintaining good order on the Net.
Recommended Method for Check In
A station wishing to check-in to the Net should wait until he/she hears the NCS call for check-ins. A station that has been acknowledged by the NCS should give information, to include call sign, name, state or country, 10-10 number and VP number. Stations do not need a 10-10 number to check in. All stations are welcome. The Nets are a great place to learn about 10-10 and its various activities. Frequently a station can work the ten stations necessary to qualify for a 10-10 number. After a station has joined the Net, he/she should not contact any other station unless the contact is first sanctioned by the NCS. The NCS will provide ample opportunity for all stations checking in to work other stations on the Net.
The Net Manager is Stephen, W7WHB, #77836. Please contact Stephen if you have questions about Net operations or might like to serve as a NCS. The daily nets are an excellent place to listen and learn about net procedures.

Update 29 September 2025
SO YOU WANT TO BE A PAPERCHASER!
By Ed Redwine K5ERJ #11843
|
Paperchasing, (the collection of amateur radio awards), is a fun part of the 10-10 experience. With new members coming on every day, some are going to want to join the hunt, but are reluctant because they don’t know how to get started. With such a large membership, paperchasers are not a large group in numbers, but they are very active and can usually be found around 28.345 SSB, 28.825 SSB, 28.120.15 PSK31, or 28.087.00 RTTY when conditions permit. After making an initial contact on either of the SSB frequencies, it is suggested that you QSY to a clear frequency away (plus or minus 5 KHz, or increments of 5 KHz) to exchange QSO information with your contact to alleviate conjestion on these frequencies. 10-10 AWARDS –The awards offered by 10-10 is an excellent place to start the paper chase with 13 categories from which to choose. The 10-10 News lists all the awards and the managers who handle them. Information on the awards can be found in the “Awards” section of the 10-10 web site. If you are not clear what the requirements are, then send an SASE (self addressed stamped #10 envelope) to the award manager in question and ask for a worksheet and award details. (Some managers will give you the information on their awards via email.) All managers are more than happy to oblige. With the many spreadsheet and database programs that are available, one would have no trouble finding one to fit one’s needs. The WIN1010 program (available from K4HAV) really does a good job of keeping up with awards applied for, e.g. 10X Bars, WPX, VP, Digital, etc. CHAPTERS –There are a number of Affiliated Chapters in 10-10. Some are dedicated to paper chasing and others function more as local social groups. By far the greatest majority welcome outside members and encourage the propagation of their Chapter certificates. Each Chapter has its own way of joining. With some you have to work Special Qualifiers (SQs) while others you collect a certain number of points or contacts. The cost of membership will vary from $1.00 and 2 FCS (First Class Stamps) up and usually depends upon the quality of the certificate offered by the chapter. If you do not want the certificate, many chapters will issue a chapter number via either US postal service or email if joining requirements are met. Almost all of the 10-10 chapters have an accessible link to their chapter on the “Chapter Links” section of the 10-10 web site and the chapter information can be obtained there. A list of Chapters with net frequencies and times is always published in the 10-10 News and is always available on the 10-10 web site. Nets are an excellent place to meet new friends and gain knowledge of the Chapter. INSTANT QUALIFIERS –Many paperchasers are Instant Qualifiers (IQs) for the basic certificate of many Chapters. Contacting an IQ is all you need to join. Just send details of the contact with the appropriate fee to the Certificate Manger (CM) of the Chapter in question. Then sit back and wait for the mail to deliver your new number! Be sure to read carefully the rules of the Chapter you join. They do differ from Chapter to Chapter. LISTS –All serious paperchasers have a list for exchanging which contains all the information they have accumulated on all the Chapters they work. Some are shorter than others and they vary widely in style and format. NUMBERS OVER THE AIR –Why not just give the numbers over the air? Good question that deserves a good answer. In the beginning days of paper chasing, there were few Chapters and exchanges were easily handled over the air. As the numbers of Chapters grew, so did the lengthy exchanges usually on a frequency occupied as a gathering place for paper chasers. To save time and not hog the frequency, the list came into use. It is exchanged between stations by mail or email, only after a bona fide contact between two members in which the 10-10 number, Call, Name and QTH are exchanged. Lists contain the appropriate information of the member, including Call, Name, mailing address and Telephone number. Grid Squares and other information is often included in the heading. Most lists show the member Chapters in column form and in alphabetical order. Basic numbers are listed along with current points and any collectible seals for that Chapter. Lists should only contain information on collectible seals or information that is needed to fulfill worksheet requirements and not be cluttered with unnecessary information that is not needed by the receiving station. Lists should also be purged occasionally of chapters no longer operating. COLLECTING POINTS –The object of paperchasing is to collect points from fellow paperchasers and to use these points to build your own point value in any given Chapter. It should be noted that these points are earned by working the station whose points you are collecting either over the air or on a certificate list after a legitimate contact. It is not proper or legal to claim points you have heard someone give to others. You must make contact with that station in order to claim his (or her) points. The same applies to any Chapter Specials that may be going on. YOUR CHAPTER WORKSHEET –After you have collected points from fellow paperchasers, the next step is to record them either on a worksheet provided by the Chapter CM, or in a data base on your personal computer. Both methods are entirely acceptable. There are still many paperchasers who do not own computers and consequently do all their paper work with pencil. Each worksheet should include your Call, your name, your 10-10 number, your basic number for the chapter and your present point value. You don’t make any brownie points with the CM if he (or she) has to spend extra time trying to find you in a data base. Be sure to use the Chapter’s format on your worksheet if you have designed your own. Most all point based Chapters require: 1. The previous collected points, 2. the new points you are claiming and 3, the total collected points. All collectible seals should be listed in columns with appropriate headings. Those keeping records in long hand should be extremely careful to make sure the columns add up correctly. Conversely, those with computers should scan their printouts to make sure that the 760 points claimed on a member is not 6760 often caused by the fat finger syndrome. BE KIND TO CMs –Certificate Managers are some of the hardest working people in 10-10. Information on the certificate managers can be found in the “10-10 Chapters” section of the 10-10 News. These managers spend countless hours pouring over upgrades that are illegible, poorly submitted, and thrown together. Take some time to make sure your upgrade is readable and neat. You will find a warm spot in the CM’s heart. The same goes for any award you apply for whether Chapter or 10-10. Proof of paid up dues should always be included for 10-10 awards. Some Chapters award extra points on an annual basis for proof of paid up dues. SPECIALS –Many Chapters run Specials for their members. These specials may be monthly or even annually but for the most part they are fun and competitive. If you are included in a Chapter’s Special, make it a point to get on the air and give it out. It helps propagate the Chapter and makes you a popular fellow! Once again, like points, Specials are earned only after a legitimate contact with the station iving out the Special. You cannot ethically claim the special just because you heard someone give it! Be sure to have your worksheet back in to the CM by the date requested. At present most of the worksheets, both to and from the CM’s are done by email, and It’s tough to send one back that is far past the published deadline. In times when the band allows DX participation, ample time will be given to include enough time for return mail from the DX stations. This should be enough information to get you started in paper chasing and maybe remind some of the older paperchasers of some of the things they may have forgotten. Even though the band in at a low spot in the cycle, contacts can be made virtually every day and that is the real reason, we are here, to keep the band active in periods of minimum activity. The 2008 Summer QSO Party was a good example of heavy activity during a period of low sunspot activity. Everyone was having a ball. Now, go out there and collect some awards!

Chapter Nets PDF
All changes to the above times and/or frequencies should be referred to the Chapter Coordinator if you desire accuracy of your net.
There are also various 10-10 daily SSB nets (except Sunday) on 28.8 and 28.38 MHz.
Information on these nets showing day of week, and net control stations is listed
under the category, Daily Nets, on the website.

Monitoring 28.800 Khz Daily-Except Sunday

The basic purposes of the 10-10 International Net, Inc. are “…to promote activity on the 10 meter band, to handle traffic and to assist radio amateurs in improving their technical skills and operating procedures….” Chapters are responsible for promoting these purposes on a local level particularly during periods of minimum sunspot activity.
A.What is a 10-10 Chapter? A 10-10 Chapter is a group of 10-10 members in good standing, normally, but not necessarily, located in the same geographic area (ground wave distance), who wish to participate in the activities of the 10-10 International Net, Inc. Although the Chapter exists to promote the purposes of the International group on a local basis, the 10-10 International Net, Inc. will not be liable for physical or verbal activities of the Chapters.
B. Basic Requirements for Becoming a 10-10 Chapter
1. U.S. Chapters consist of seven or more members except for Alaska and Hawaii. Alaska, Hawaii, and all DX Chapters must have five or more members. Members must be in good standing (dues paid). The 10-10 Database Manager may be consulted about the membership status of potential Chapter members.
2. A Chapter must have a name and must conduct weekly scheduled nets.
3. They must select a Chapter Head whose responsibilities are detailed later.
4. The group must complete a ’10-10 Chapter Application,’ copy enclosed, and forward to the Chapter Coordinator for approval by the Chapter Relations Committee. The Chapter Coordinator will adjust frequencies to prevent conflicts and may suggest alternate frequencies in order to use the entire 10 meter band.
5. Nets may meet on any mode as permitted for that portion of the 10 meter band.
C. Chapter Privileges
1. May participate as a Chapter in all 10-10 contests in accordance with published rules. (Chapter members within 150 miles of the Chapter may assign their score to the Chapter.)
2. May issue a Chapter Certificate. Charges assessed for the Certificate program should not exceed chapter costs of the program. May issue a chapter number only via email or for an S.A.S.E. (self addressed stamped envelope)
3. May elect officers, have a treasury and charge dues or raise funds by any lawful means.
4. May support any activity deemed good for amateur radio.
D. Chapter Reporting
A responsible chapter official must report to the Chapter Coordinator. This is done quarterly. If there are no changes to the previous report, then the chapter can go for up to a year without reporting. A report must then be made even though no changes have been made. These reports may be made via the U.S. Postal Service or via email. For access to the reporting forms, go to the “Resources” and click on it, from the pop-up menu choose “Forms”, (The forms are in the fourth row.)
E. Reasons for Terminating Chapter Affiliation
1. Failure to file a quarterly report for four consecutive quarters.
2. Suspension of net operations for more than a three month period. Permission to suspend must be obtained from the Chapter Manager.
3. Deliberately furnishing incorrect information on report.
4. Conduct unbecoming an amateur radio operator.
F. Responsibilities of the Chapter Head
1. The chapter head shall guide the activities of the chapter and is responsible for keeping the membership interested and motivated to operate on 10 meters, participate in 10-10 activities, and promote the purposes of the 10-10 International Net, Inc.
2. The chapter head shall be the liaison between the chapter and the parent organization, usually through the Chapter Coordinator.
3. The chapter head may appoint an assistant and/or create local committees if necessary.
4. The chapter head or his designated representative shall report quarterly to the Chapter Coordinator on the approved form or via e-mail if desired.
5. The chapter head must secure approval of the Chapter Coordinator prior to changing net operations (day, time or frequency) and/or certificate requirements. Approval for temporary changes (e.g. for one month’s duration) in net operations need not be obtained. The Chapter Coordinator and the 10-10 membership at large, however, should be notified –
6. Chapter heads of chapters with certificate programs should be aware that the position of Certificate Manager requires a lot of time and effort. Much of a chapter’s success – or failure – depends on the timely and faithful performance by the C.M.
7. The chapter head (or his designee) should consult with the Chapter Coordinator about any questions regarding operation which may develop. Use this link to obtain a copy of the Chapter Application form.
8. The Chapter Head must be a member in good-standing and continue so until he/she gives up the position.
10-10 AFFILIATED CHAPTER LISTING
as of January 2026
All Chapter heads/managers: Please review the rules regarding chapters as outlined in Ten-Ten International Net’s Operation Manual. There seems to be some confusion by new as well as a few older members about the proper conduct of chapter nets. Any comments or questions please contact me. Thank you for your attention.

The purposes of 10-10 are “to promote activity on the 10-meter amateur band, to handle traffic and to assist radio amateurs in improving their technical skills and operating procedures.” Affiliated chapters of 10-10 are responsible for promoting these purposes, generally on a local level, and especially during periods of minimum sunspot activity. Additionally, groups that are already formed may apply to become affiliated chapters.
Great news: We have a brand new chapter from the great state of Idaho, please welcome the Panhandlers to our organization. (see information below)
