W6OI #109 ON THE AIR

The event purpose is to have fun and promote activity on 10-meters.  The call W6OI #109 (10-10 Organization call) will be on the air from all U.S. call areas with most call areas having more than one operator on at the same time.  In Canada, the 10-10 Organization club call VE9TEN will be on from many locations.  In addition, in Germany the club call DL0X will be operating the event.

2014 SPECIAL EVENT (11th Annual)

Now is a great time to start preparing for this year’s Special Event. MANY MANY VOLUNTEERS are needed to make this a success. The band should be well open by the end of November. Plan to participate.

The 2014 event is NOVEMBER 22 AND 23.We definitely need more folks to participate for as short or extended as possible with any mode. Need at least 4 operators from each call area so we dominate the band from all regions, many modes, and throughout the day or evening. Last year we learned that not everyone can be on all the time nor on more than one mode. Therefore, additional operators in each call area are a must.

Anyone wanting to volunteer to operate W6OI during this special event please contact Jerry, N9AC.  Everyone is most welcome.

The 11th annual W6OI – VE9TEN – DL0X (official 10-10 club stations) Special Event will be held starting at 0000Z on 22 Nov and ending at 2400Z on 23 Nov.

The Special Event has designated 10-10 members (VOLUNTEERS!) in all US call areas, Canada, and Germany operating 10-10 official club stations. The purpose of the event is to have fun, keep ten meters active, and to promote 10-10 Organization.

Members desiring to operate W6OI in the Special Event should contact Jerry, N9AC (treismine2@yahoo.com). Members in Canada should contact Rob, VE9KM (rireland@mta.ca) for permission to operate VE9TEN. We need volunteers from each call area. PLEASE volunteer soon!! It would be nice to have 4 to 5 volunteers in each call area. Rob and Jerry are waiting to hear from you.
