Change to Membership
Structure
and Fees Effective
- April 1, 2012
At
the July 2010 Ten-Ten Board meeting two motions were made and passed to
change the membership structure and
fee schedule. The first motion was to allow for a new class of
membership
called ‘Electronic Delivery’. This class of
membership implies that the primary form of communicating with members
would be electronic in the form of emails. This
includes the delivery of the Ten-Ten NEWS and Membership Renewal
Notice.
Items that are routinely mailed such as QSL’s
and Award
Certificates would continue to be mailed.
The second change had to do with the cost of membership. The dues were last raised in February of 2003. Since that time postage and other operating expenses have risen for DX members more than what is collected in the yearly membership fee. It was also decided to separate Canada and Mexico into a separate fee structure because postage have not risen as quickly for those areas as the rest of the world. US expenses have also risen, but as a percentage, not as great as the rest of the world and at the present will not change. Existing members, other than Life and Senior Life, who change from mail to electronic delivery will have any remaining dues prorated and their membership extended. In the future if you have an electronic membership and wish to change to mail you will be able to change by paying the difference of the then fee for the new class of membership. Below
