10-10 Scholarship Application Information

The 2007 winners are:

Each year the 10-10 International Net, through our non-profit corporation, the 10-10 Scholarship Foundation, funds four $1,500 scholarships, which are administered on our behalf by the Foundation for Amateur Radio (FAR). http://www.amateurradio-far.org/.
Applicants must be licensed Radio Amateurs having HF privileges. There is no restriction on the course of study, but applicants must intend to seek at least an Associate degree from a college or university. Non-U.S. Amateurs and those seeking graduate degrees are also eligible. Foreign members please note that students who study outside the United States are also eligible to receive a 10-10 Scholarship.

It is suggested that every 10-10 member encourage qualified college-bound radio amateurs to take advantage of this opportunity by requesting an application package by letter or QSL card prior to April 30th of each year from the:

Foundation for Amateur Radio
P.O. Box 831
Riverdale, MD 20738

Applicants, except those who are active 10-10 members, must provide a recommendation from an active 10-10 member (one whose dues are current). Completed applications must be received by FAR prior to June 1st of each year.

10-10 SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION SUPPORT

We encourage all of our members to support the 10-10 Scholarship Foundation. All donations will be acknowledged in the 10-10 NEWS. The 10-10 Scholarship Foundation is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and therefore contributions are tax deductible. If your employer will match your contribution, please let us know. Why not consider a chapter donation or an individual donation in memory of a fellow ham or loved one? If you haven't donated before, we want you to know that all donations, no matter how small, are appreciated and they do add up. Remember, if each active member would donate just one dollar, we'd make our goal with ease.

Want to help a ham in his or her quest for higher education? Give to the 10-10 Scholarship Foundation! Send checks or money orders to the address below.

TEN-TEN PINS
For a donation of $10 or more, a 2008 10-10 pin will be given as a token of
our appreciation. If you donate $15, we will also include a 2007 pin (while
supplies last).
