10-10 International is now offering a QSL service to all
persons with a 10-10 number whether dues are current or not. The QSL Bureau
service is for pasteboard QSLs that you send to other 10-10 members. DX
stations, including Canada, may also participate. Funding for return of DX
cards is provided through donations from members.
To use the 10-10 QSL Bureau, you must have SASEs (self-addressed-stamped-
envelopes) on file with the QSL Manager. The envelopes shall be #10 size (9 1/2
x 4 1/6) with your address and one first class stamp. The #6 size (3 5/8 x 6
1/2) envelope has proven to be too small for most cards. At first send the
Manager 2 envelopes. After participating for 6 months, the Manager may notify
you to keep more envelopes on file if the demand warrants it. This may also
avert problems that could arise due to postal rate increases. If you do not wish
to receive cards through the QSL Bureau, and some members prefer not to do so,
please let the Manager know. They will place your call on the Non-Participating
list. Cards will be held for 2 years, and if no one claims them they will be
cleaned out. Notices will not be sent that you have cards in the Bureau.
Additionally the QSL Bureau Manager has a web site (
www.dsl-only.net/~k7qxg/list.html) that lists stations with cards waiting
for them.
When sending cards to the QSL Bureau, be sure they are properly filled out with
all the information from the contact, including your 10-10 number and the county
you operated from. If you were QRP, please indicate the power on your card.
Print your call in the upper left corner of the SASEs in large, legible letters.
The QSL Manager will returns cards on a monthly basis. Full details are found
at the above web site.
If you have questions, please refer them direct to the QSL Manager. The program
may be modified from time to time in the interest of economy and efficiency and
a progress report will be made in the 10-10 News. This is now a permanent
program.
This service is for pasteboard QSLs only, it is not a forwarding service for
electronic QSL cards.
