Where are the propagation beacons?

Postby wj5o » Thu Oct 23, 2008 9:32 pm

10 meter beacons are clustered mainly in North America...... as of 20 October 2008 there are 254 North American beacons.
South & Central America has 38
Europe & Africa has 60
Asia & "down under" has 17
Total of 369 ten meter propagation beacons.

If a person can hear a QRP power beacon it's almost a sure thing that a contact can be established in the direction of the beacon signal. :)

You can register on E-QSL.
Only catch is you need to make a small donation to them once a year. But you get quite a lot for that small donation. It is not that bad of deal. But thats everyones choice. There are quite a lot of 10x10 ers subscribed to it.Also you can do a search you most likely will find several free sites also on this Subject. But be careful with the free sites. Many are full of virises.Be careful before downloading free sites. Check them out first.
