Linux 101 Hacks eBook

Postby K4QHH » Wed Feb 18, 2009 2:45 pm

The website www.slickdeals.net has a link to a free download of
the eBook "Linux 101 Hacks" .

Not sure what it is but downloaded it just in case I lose my mind
and want to try something other than MS someday.

Well Bob,
I'm like yourself....Microsoft won't be on my machine forever.... When MS stops supporting XP is the day I switch to Linux........ for good.
I down loaded Linux Mint6 last month and installed it on this machine....I'm still exploring the operations.....It sets itself up with "double boot"....which on boot up I can chose either operating system.
I downloaded the "Hacks" Ebook........ and I'm getting ready to take a look....... Hopefully the book will fill in some of the questions and spaces that I have.
Thank You for the tip, Bob.

Well I am down to one winblows machine and running YGPSK under wine on a Ubuntu box as soon as I can get some of the office stuff running under Linux I will be windows free. I run Fedora Core 10 as my normal desktop and ubuntu as my ham box . I have been running Linux since it was 6 months old (17 years now) and it has never failed me. But the way the ten-ten site is running Linux of course.
