CHATROOM

Postby VE2FSU » Sun Nov 16, 2008 7:23 pm

I see that the chatroom is being used only by a few members, if you stay and check the log in and out log out you will see that members log in stay a minute or so and log out because there is no other members in the chatroom, just a small suggestion, if when you log in stay around for at least 5 to 10 or even 15 minutes, somebody might log in and then you could have a chat with them.

As I write this, I'm in the chatroom and am a bit confused about the time stamp. It's currently 11:08 EST and my stamp showed up as 10:08. Is the time stamp showing Central Time? Just curious.

I've been sitting in the chat room for a half hour looking for someone but it, like the band, is fairly dead. I intend to monitor this site daily, usually in the evening. Hopefully we can get things going both here and on 10m - locally anyway. We all want to be ready when 24 opens!

The time stamp on the chat room is the time stamp on the server which the Chat Room resides. Since it is in Bryan TX that means Central Time Zone. The chat room software will soon be updated but I don't think the time stamp will change with the upgrade. It would be even more confusing if it reflected the time stamp of every user. But I may be able to set it to UTC then no one could have a problem.
