Anyone on sstv in southern Indiana or Louisville, ky area. I am operating sstv using mmstv program<it is free>, and would like to attempt a exchange of pics on 10 meters 28.680, we run 20 watts to a delta loop if anyone interested. Also hells, olivia and rtty on 28.085 running 20 watts...

hi patrick.

im a little south of your area, but i do often have a rig parked on .680 and listen for sstv activity.

i'm i fl in the winter and west TN in the summer and i can work your area if the band co=operates.

also, you may want to try 28.690. there is an sstv repeater (k3asi) in either south or north carolina that is up 24/7. it uses a tone of 1750 Hz.
if you have never used mmsstv with a tone before,
mmsstv has an internal tone generator and it is displayed just to the right of the TX button (right click on it to adjust the tone freq)

just send the 1750 hz tone for about a second, listen for the repeater to reply and then send your pix.

Tnx for the info, I didn't realize the repeater was there, will keep an eye for it. Iuse mmsstv and remember seeing the tone button.
I have made only 1 contact on sstv on 20 meters to JAPAN a while back last year, and the frequency is to loaded with high power stns and not courteous.

I also try on 10.132 when 30 is open and nocontacts but have heard a few on , like this am but the band went down to fast to get a good picture from someone,.

Anyhow will give it a try..maybe some luck.

Two meters has some sstv activity but 50 miles away , and have never heard them just a local group.
