New Cert Mgr Houston SHOT is John AD5IF

Houston SHOT: Space Houston On Ten has a new Certificate Manager effective immediately.

The old cert manager was N5AFV Allen Mattis #27571 who had served SHOT for many years, needed a replacement due to health reasons. Thanks to Allen for his past work with SHOT and as a Bar manager with 1010.

The new cert manager is John McCrevey AD5IF #73372, address: 2 Carlotta Ct., Houston, TX 77074-7817.
John has all of the SHOT records and has updated our web site with some new information at: www.clarc.org/SHOT .

A new basic SHOT certificate can be gotten by regular mail for $3 or if you do not want the NASA Space related certificate, you can send him an email at : mccrevey@sbcglobal.net with the qualifiying SHOT members you worked to get your basic cert. Anyone that is an ENTERPRISE award holder is an Instant Qualifier.

John AD5IF likes to run low power. SO when you work him he will usually be at 5 watts to a vertical or dipole antenna on the west side of Houston TX.

John is usually on our Tuesday night SHOT net at 8 pm central time on 28488 with Mike N5MT as Net Control.
