Due to a very severe thunderstorm system spread across the Central Florida area the Cypress Net did not take place tonight. Our apologies to all of the out of the area stations that may have waited around for us to start up. Our Net Control (KR4OW) had a complete loss of power at his QTH; an alternate Net Control (K4RRF) had severe lightning strikes around his QTH as well and one of our other Net Control stations (W5IHN) experienced simlar severe weather conditions.
If any of you have ever been in Central Florida during one of our famous storms then you already know why we are known as the Lightning Capital down this way. 10 meters has been open during our last 3 or 4 nets so we wanted to keep everyone informed about our absence.
Please stop by next week, 28.465 @ 00:00z Wednesday.
