Hello Mel;

Your message this morning was the first time I heard of this forum. You may have mentioned it before, but we had a couple windstorms around here this past month, so I might have overlooked it! HI HI!

Thanks again for this forum and 73,

Just signed up !

BTW, the Sys Adm needs to use spell checker as "assist" is spelled "assit" in opening message. Nothing like putting best foot forward ....

Yup had no idea there was a forum. One nice thing about the email reflector was that I did not have to bounce around websites to catch on activities. oh well. Nice job Mel. :D

I too didn't know about the new forums until the email came out over the weekend. Like anything new, it will take some time to get some activity on here. Mel, job well done!

I prefer a forum to a mail list you can be selective about what subjects you read. It won't won't take long for word to spread and it will take off.

As of this writing, there are 84 registered users. If they all get active on here, this place will be hopping with activity

Thanks. Its a font that I found on one of those free font sites. Its called Radio's in Motion. I used Publisher and Word Art to change the way the dots and dashes look.

On a seperate note. I see that Mel has 6 posts to his credit. This will be my 6th post. WD5WR has 5 posts. One of of the other boards that I am an admin on, we had a ... for lack of a better word... contest to see who could post the most posts. They all had to be relivant to the topic.

Forum Use

Postby K7QXG » Thu Oct 23, 2008 7:51 pm

As propagation improves, so will the use of the forum. Now is the time to be patient and wait for Sol to start radiating.

I know the folks down south have had many openings on 10 meters, but here in the Pacific Northwest I can count the openings over the past 90 days on one hand.

Meanwhile, we can all stir things up during the QSO parties and that may generate some interest.

Operating modes

Postby NH7RS » Thu Oct 23, 2008 9:41 pm

I drive around with my mobile scanning ten meters and in the past year have made one contact...that was to the other side of Oahu.
I also monitor 10 meter CW + PSK31 + RTTY + FM + SSB from the home unit.
It sure gets lonely here listening to frying.
But I know things should be improving soon (I HOPE!) 8)

Aloha,

Dick
