PSK & RTTY

With the digital contest this weekend I would like to monitor both the PSK freq and the RTTY freq. I have an Icom ProII which allows dual watch. The problem is PSK is USB and RTTY is LSB and dual watch doesn't allow different modes.

I want to watch 28.085 LSB for RTTY but I want to use USB. So what freq do I set my receiver for? Mark offset is set to 2125Hz shift is 170Hz.

By my calcualtion I would want to set my receiver freq to 28.08075 USB.

Any comments, should this work?

bob, i don't know which software you are using for RTTY, try this: leave the rig in USB, after you have the RTTY program running, use the "reverse" button to change the shift. it will still have the 170 hz shift , but it will be "upside down". you should be able to copy RTTY (in USB mode) and PSK at the same time using your dual watch function.

you may (or may not) have to have two sound cards, it depends on exactly what hardware/software you are running. goodluck jim
