W6OI/VE9TEN Special Event

The sixth W6OI/VE9TEN Special Event was held on 28,29 Nov 2009. The following
members operated W6OI: NN1J-NZ1I-KB2KHR-WA2SUH-N3TGB-KC4RHW-KD4FNI-
WA4TC-WJ5O-KD5DE-KM5FF-N5DAS-WD5EDR-K5FBS-W6JNU-WB6OJB-N6OPR-
K7IUQ-K7INA-W7CAR-KC8IM-KA9PCU-N9AC-N9AVY-WA6POZ-N0EOP-K0DBK-N0KDB.
Canadian members operating VE9TEN: VE2FSU-VE5KM-VE7ACM.

Members operating W6OI reported 217 contacts with N0EOP logging 42 contacts.
Most contacts were SSB but there were several PSK and CW contacts.
Thirteen members reported zero or only one contact. As an indication of changing
band conditions here are the contacts for the six years of the Special E vent.
2004 – 3500 contacts
2005 – 258 contacts
2006 – 492 contacts
2007 – 125 contacts
2008 – 23 contacts
2009 – 217 contacts

Paul, WN4AMO reported working Special Event stations in six call areas.

The 2010 Special Event will be on 27,28 Nov.

If you worked a Special Event station on 28,29 Nov 2009 and desire a QSL
card, please let me know since I will shortly be asking Cliff, K5FBS to print
