RFI Suppression Chokes

Folks with all the computers in the shack I am now getting spurs, not from the radio but from of the new computers. There was a post recently on the 10-10 list about a ferrite kit that worked to help this. I checked the MFJ site but there kits are more related to preventing RFI from the rig and not to the rig. Anyone have some success on stopping this type of noise. One computer dumps a spike right on top of the PSK frequency and the other on 28.425.

Seriously, you probably want ferrite snap on chokes on all the wires exiting computer. A power line filter may also help. If the computers have metal cases, you might remove cover and scrape off paint where screws make contact. If you have computers with plastic cases, get out your wallet and buy some silver paint (conductive) and apply to inside of cover. When all else fails, build a brass screen enclosure around the computer !
