Faraday Cage or Shielding

Postby KB2KHR » Wed May 27, 2009 1:03 am

Hi All,

If December 21, 2012 holds true and we have magnetic storms. The prediction is that cell phones, computers, amateur radios and the like will be scorched. Does anyone know where I can buy a faraday cage or shielding to protect my equipment from damage?

Thank You!

A microwave is a perfect Faraday cage. Just remember to move your gear out before turning it on. An old inop unit is the best. Pull out the guts, save the chassis.
