Running Cable from Antenna into House

Postby N3FNE » Sun Dec 21, 2008 11:38 am

Now that I'm living in a brick house, I'm wondering what options I have to run cable from the antenna to the rig. The "shack" is going to be inside a cabinet in the dining room. When not in use, the cabinet doors will be closed and visitors won't know it holds radios, a computer, etc. I don't want to run the cables through a nearby window if I don't have to. Thanks.

Pete I have seen a similar install the member ran the coax up the side of the outside wall and into the attic and then ran it down inside a wall to a spot behind a so call china cabinet and used a modified wall plate to exit the wall. This was a restricted retirement place and he had a bunch of so called hidden antennas with an remote antenna switch in the attic.
