5-Year Study of 10-Meter Es Using PropNET

Postby ka5dwi » Sun Dec 05, 2010 4:43 pm

Hello Everyone,

I will begin posting excerpts of my 5-Year Study of 10-Meter Es Using PropNET on the PropNET Studies Blog:
http://propnet-studies.blogspot.com/
The study was part of the proceedings for this year's Central States VHF Conference.
I have done this strictly for the Hamradio hobby. Enjoy this and I hope that you all use this to operate more on the HF and VHF bands.
All I ask is that if you use this material outside of these forums that you give credit to the PropNET organization as the source.

It will be posted in parts over the next 6 weeks. It is a 50-Page document.

If you wish to read the entire study, join the PropNET Yahoo Group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PropNET-Online/
The full study is available in the "Files" section.

I am now compiling a 6 Year Study which helped better quantify what I observed and measured the first 5 Years.

As of today (December 19), over half of this study has been posted on the PropNET Studies blog: http://propnet-studies.blogspot.com/

Currently, 7 parts have been posted. Daily, Hourly, distance, directional, and probability data charts and narrative are displayed. The best part is still ahead.

Again, I will always entertain questions on the study. You can email me direct to my callsign at sbcglobal dot net or yahoo dot com.

I will be recuperating from back surgery and will be available for the next 2 weeks (12/19 - 01/02).

Happy Holidays,

The entire study is now loaded on the blog. It is in 11 parts, therefore it is best read in reverse on the blog.
Again, all I ask is that you give credit to the PropNET organization if you use this material.

Please use this for improving your operating results each Spring and Summer on 10 Meters, as well as other HF and VHF bands.

I always entertain questions about the study and fell free to email me at my call at sbcglobal.net.

Hello,
I have added to the PropNET Studies Blog six years of Fall/Winter Es analysis.
http://propnet-studies.blogspot.com/

Although the Es activity is very limited compared to the Spring and Summer, it displays many similar characteristics.

I will soon add a 6 year Spring/Summer analysis on the blog.
I always entertain questions and comments. Email me direct at my call at sbcglobal dot net.
