Search Button continued

Ok, Mr. Mel
Like the new placement of search button.
I can live with it in the top right, easy access, and easy to type.

Of course there is a BUT... HI HI
From what I can see, it does not search by poster, but only
body of posted items. Unless I sign this message with my
callsign, I can't find it again using search.

I did a search for KD5DE to just see what all you had posted,
and returned NO HITS, as it appears you do not sign any of
your postings.

Is there any way to include posted by in the search engine?
That would be very nice.

Kudo's on trying to get this up and running. I tried one on SCI
site but the usage was so low I discontinued. HI HI.

Hello Mike,

You can find a poster's messages by going to the Advanced search link under the search box and then put the person's callsign into the Search for author box an it will not only tell you how many posts they have made but the script will show the posts to you.

Well the advanced search was not there last time I posted!! HI HI.

So my wishes have been granted by the evil demon Mel.

So much better. When this board takes off, that will be an invaluable tool, as
I do a couple others of these and without that good search, things become hazy
if you are trying to find info.

These type boards start with information overload, and too many hours spent
trying to find anything. THANK YOU MEL!! I'll live with the advanced search now

You're like me. First thing I look for on a forum is the Search box. I'm not so self-important that I can't look for things but Search sure do take the work out of it.
