Each year the 10-10 International Net, through our non-profit corporation, the 10-10 Scholarship Foundation, funds four $1,500 scholarships, which are administered on our behalf by the Foundation for Amateur Radio (FAR). http://www.amateurradio-far.org/.
Applicants must be licensed Radio Amateurs having HF privileges. There is no restriction on the course of study, but applicants must intend to seek at least an Associate degree from a college or university. Non-U.S. Amateurs and those seeking graduate degrees are also eligible. Foreign members please note that students who study outside the United States are also eligible to receive a 10-10 Scholarship.
It is suggested that every 10-10 member encourage qualified college-bound radio amateurs to take advantage of this opportunity by requesting an application package by letter or QSL card from the:
P.O. Box 911
Columbia, MD 21044
Applicants, except those who are active 10-10 members, must provide a recommendation from an active 10-10 member (one whose dues are current). Completed applications must be received by FAR prior to May 15th of each year.
10-10 SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION SUPPORT
We encourage all of our members to support the 10-10 Scholarship Foundation. All donations will be acknowledged in the 10-10 NEWS. The 10-10 Scholarship Foundation is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and therefore contributions are tax deductible. If your employer will match your contribution, please let us know. Why not consider a chapter donation or an individual donation in memory of a fellow ham or loved one? If you haven't donated before, we want you to know that all donations, no matter how small, are appreciated and they do add up. Remember, if each active member would donate just one dollar, we'd make our goal with ease.
Want to help a ham in his or her quest for higher education? Give to the 10-10 Scholarship Foundation! Send checks or money orders to the address below.
For a donation of $15 or more, a special 50th Year Anniversary 10-10 Pin will be given as a token of our appreciation. If your donation exceeds $25 you can request a second anniversary pin or one of our historical pins will be selected by the Scholarship Manager. Due to limited supply, there is a limit of two Anniversary pins per household. You can use the Anniversary Scholarship Donation Form or make out checks or money orders for scholarship donations to:
Larry Berger, WA2SUH
10-10 International Net Scholarship Manager
9 Nancy Boulevard
Merrick, NY 11566.
Some may find it more convenient to use a credit card to make a donation. Please note that Ten-Ten is charged for credit card processing and this will reduce the amount received for the Scholarship Fund. Just use the button below to make your donation and after this process is completed you will be guided to a page allowing you to specify the purpose of your donation.
